…keeping sensitive food products fresh

Closing the loop for flexible packaging by Design for Recycling

Polypropylene is bringing high value to the flexible packing industry due to its excellent performance and makes it the preferred material for very sensitive food packaging applications like high barrier or high temperature resistant packaging applications. In order to preserve the value of the material and allow high quality recycling of PP flexible packaging a re-design of many existing solutions is necessary. Design for recycling (DfR) is an important aspect of eco-efficient design which needs to carefully and intelligently balance the production, usage and after usage phase of a packaging.

In the webinar you will get answers to the following questions:
  • What are the key challenges to overcome when replacing current high barrier Aluminium foil laminates?
  • Which are the suitable barrier systems that can be recycled and how good is their performance?
  • What are the latest material innovations at Borealis that enable the high performance during conversion and packaging?
